A large handkerchief, consisting of men's and women's handkerchiefs sewn together, is hardened with epoxy resin and thus frozen in a falling movement.
This serves as a screen for a stop-motion film with sound. The film shows embroidered scenes such as a mobile that has become unbalanced, seams that embroider themselves into words and then dissolve again, and holes that are torn into the ground and then sewn up again. In this work, I deal with the question of how the lack of words or the inability to talk about things, especially about traumas, first implants itself in biographies and then continues in subsequent generations.
The work is accompanied by a publication, part screen print, part digital print with a slipcase, which also consists of a handkerchief hardened and embroidered with epoxy resin.
