The inevitable connection between the paradoxes of life and death is thematised in the work Leben tötet. The stop-motion film repeatedly shows fragments of the words 'Life kills', sometimes in individual letters, sometimes in combination, sometimes individually, sometimes they disappear behind a black surface, sometimes they are clearly visible, sometimes almost invisible. The work poses the question of what lies between these two opposites, which are mutually dependent and cannot exist without each other, and the film is accompanied by scratchy sounds and dramatic sound sequences. The film is projected from a projector standing on a stack of newspapers onto waste paper that has been pasted onto the wall in multiple layers. The result is a relief with a bubbly and wavy surface that reveals the many superimposed layers. The installation is accompanied by a silkscreen print with an edition of 60.
